Vera Klimentyeva
Vera Klimentyeva (b. 1988, Moscow) belongs to a new
generation of Russian artists who use their art to address
the political, religious, and social issues present in their
home country.. She explores these themes through
various mediums, including diverse printing techniques,
digital media, plastics, and traditional painting.
Her work is characterized by deconstructive elements, the
blending of fictional and real elements, and the integration
of traditional representations into modern contexts.
Klimentyeva initially studied at Moscow University of
Printing Arts under the guidance of Alexander Livanov,
Vladimir Tzepilov, and Vladimir Kosynkin from
2005 to 2008.
She later moved to the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts,
where she studied in the class of Prof. Erwin Bohatsch
